'Complete Control' was voted No. 9 in the 1977 John Peel Festive Fifty, No. 2 the following year, No.5 in 1979, No. 15 in 1980, No. 18 in 1981, No. 19 in 1982 (from 1982 it became a poll of the year instead of an all-time top 50 tracks). A true power punk track that was a highlight of the live show. Not a much evidence of what 'Scratch' was up to but Paul Simonon (talking of Lee Perry on the Complete Control session) said 'He was like a whirlwind in the studio, quite erratic actually. But to me, Lee Perry is the Ennio Morricone of Jamacian Music. He's that influential and I think it's only now people are beginning to realise that'.
