Quality runs throughout the whole record, but if there is one track that really demonstrates how comparitively bland, empty and desperately missing the old magic and atmosphere nu-minimal is, then 'The Opening' is it. No gimmicks or done to death glitches and ripped off Basic Channel sounds here - only the fullest, darkly enchanting sounds from a musical time when the future still seemed like a wondrous technological playground and not an everday cliched commodity. Sigh.
