Clock DVA - Digital Soundtracks

It's pretty much impossible to pick a favorite Clock DVA album or EP because they all offer something uniquely artistic and enjoyable. Buried Dreams and Man-Amplified are generally regarded as their highlight albums, but I would consider Digital Soundtracks equally important and equally good as either of those. On DS we see Clock DVA take a much more techno-themed approach to their dark experimentation. Gone are Adi's spoken word vocals, and the TV & film samples are used very sparingly. The reason why I like this album so much is the music itself takes center stage more here than on any other album of theirs. My favorite track here is Delta Machines, which has an almost Nitzer Ebb-like bassline, danceable sequences and a fantastic dark sample ("this is overload") Put on your headphones, sit back and get lost in this dark, hypnotic trip.
