CD-issue of the album, originally released in 1984.
Recorded during August and September 1984 at Palladium Studios, Edinburgh and Rooster, West London.
No album artwork brings it content better then Treasure: embracing heavenly voices wrapped around the listener, track names like Lorelei, Persephone, Pandora and an album title that is in now way exaggerated. Sounds too good to be true? Open this jewel case and you will be lost! (WARNING: this CD contains ethereal lyrics that you will indeed either lover or hate as mentioned by dexterfeng, so beware that this is only my personal opinion ;)
Considered by many to be the best album by the Cocteaus. Hands down it's probably the prettiest save for Victorialand and yet another one of those galvanizing albums. You'll either LOVE them or HATE them after hearing it. Also the first album with new bassist Simon Raymonde.
Now that it's almost twenty years old, can we see a re-evaluation of it?
Massively important.
