Gerard Hanson remains one of the great techno mysteries and not really known outside of a very dedicated audience of specialists.
For those who do recognize the name, this first Matrix release is a serious classic, a must have and I myself agree with that 100%.
Something very unique happens not by accident on this record. Very deep minimal techno coming from Texas is a needle in a haystack. If you own this on vinyl you know exactly why this record commands top dollar even 13 years after its initial release.
It dated nicely and even though the masses would never understand how to define the sound of pure techno, Gerald commands those who do with almost "drink the purple juice" type of authority. Running alongside Basic Channel this is a must have for all serious collectors and worth the $100 to own a mint copy.
Insane release from Convextion. This is an epitome of techno, a reason to dive back into the archives and find the foremost and most genre-breaking releases of, possibly, all time. All the tracks are awesome, but the B-side is simply stunning. The programming is intense, the sound unique and the construction so thoughtful. The track is a bomb of such a magnificence that few modern releases even compares, few things retain the same analogue power as AA does. This release is essential to understanding techno, and understanding what will move things forward in the future.

Sure side A is incredible to listen to, but i think the B side is more interesting.
Very deep and good programmed dubtechno that I never heard before, rolling and powerfull bassline, emotional synths patterns created like only Gerard can do.
