Reviews & Discussion

Review by stinki Oct 16, 2009
This record sees Convextion exploring some different sounds and some more exotic moods but it is as well-produced and heartfelt as everything else he has done. It's not another 'Miranda', and it's not as dancefloor-friendly or pure dubtechno-bliss as his other stuff...But it's still great.

Is it really necessary to insult the artist? Accusing him of cashing in is incredibly disrespectful, not to mention completely ludicrous considering how many records he's put out (this was one of 2 he put out in 2007!) and the size of the label this record came out on.

Bit of a shame... It looks like Mr Hanson is cashing in on the hype-machine surrounding his last couple of releases and trying to get as much material out in as short a space of time as possible. This is without doubt the worst thing that he has released under the Convextion moniker so far. It's all filler and no-killer with this release I'm afraid, with a selection of tossed-off and meandering half-baked ideas, and with none of the depth and soul of some of those more inspired moments that made him stuff of techno myth for a brief time. Please fella, chillax and take your time, releases like this are sullying your otherwise magnificent portfolio.
