Par-par-par-parr-parb-PAAR!! Dadadadata! Pardon me. That's just how the hook on the main mix on side one sounds in my head. It's just that I played this record intensely for about 2 months around two-years ago, when I practising mixing a lot more than I have done recently. Strangely, I haven't listened to this much since those months, but that grainy, bright, virtual-analogue hook is still embedded in my grey matter. Together with the crisp but deep kicks and smooth bass, counterpointed by some kind of blue atmosphere which drifts up from the ambience of the rest of the arrangement. I don't know much else about Cpen or Aestoric, but I can say that these tracks are memorable.
