The "Microgroove Mix" in particular is prime rave techno fodder in the style of LFO, some of the XL material liek Cubic 22, or R&S such as CeeJay (Blooand). There is some absolutely massive sub-bass in there, to live up to the title, a noisy rave stab line, electronic twiddles, and lush LFO-style vocal pad synths. The EQ on the hi-hats is a bit harsh, and this is even more so on the A-side where a fast scratching rhythm of quaver-note (1/16th) hissing sounds overlays most of the track.
Not at all typical of Dave Angel's later work, but a great example of the sort of thing that big-name artists were coming up with in their formative years during the rapidly changing environment of hardocre rave, where the ethos was "anything goes"
