Aside from perhaps Rob Hood's "The Pace", "Losing Control" would have to be considered as one of the most versatile, hypnotic slabs of music to ever be pressed to vinyl. Maybe even more so. I'm not quite sure if 'Pace' would fit as well with some of the more organic house tracks like "Losing Control" does, but having said that, LC does takes the element of hypnotism in music to another level. If any track were capable of triggering symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Dan Bell's masterpiece is certainly worth mentioning. Top Tune!
Definately a classic example of great minimal techno. Losing Control with its fluid deep vocals sounds good with almost anything. The whole record's simplicity makes it great.
Losing Control is the big classic on here but equally amazing is Live Wire. The beauty of Dan's stuff is that it mixes with anything- even house divas like Martha Wash (I have the proof on a Derrick Carter mixtape).
Minimal masterpiece combining dry beats with claustrophobic bleeping hooks - which nearly cause serious brain-damage in the second tracks on each side. title track is an hypnotic maelstrom with vacuum-like sounds and the weird filtered vocal, never again leaving your mind.
