Many of the problems I have with Parallel Universe #2 are the same as I had with Parallel Universe #1, but those problems are compounded in that the individual elements are, generally, even less interesting. There are a few high points, like “Glowstick Raver’s Valentine” and “Shamalama Carousel.” But despite those good tracks, many of the tracks are immediately forgettable. DJ Brokenwindow has some flashes of humor (who else would combine Kit Clayton with a children’s country-western track), but, overall, it’s nothing that a talented DJ couldn’t do -- and do better.
