keith fullerton whitman (hrvatski) and dj c performed at a post-toneburst event in beverly, ma called "dirt". during dj c's set, keith fullerton whitman (hrvatski) placed his sony mzr-700 minidisc and accompanying soundman okm-ii classic binaural earpiece microphones in a pile on top of the bass bin, not realizing it was set to record. when he got home, he listened to the resultant recording and found that the top end was heavily distorted, unlistenable, but the bass was crystal clear. he then removed every frequency above 200hz and ran the rest through a compression algorithm and a very long hall reverb. what's left are the massive dancehall and ragga basslines from dj c's set, turned into a womblike drone cluster.
