Magda's remix is totally crazy.
Ultrafat bass and smashing rhythm with little bops falling down on it, a moody dry guitar melody, and a headspinning use of handclaps.
It's a dark and sweaty dancefloor killer, minimal but complex and evolutive, for both hip-hop and techno listeners, because of some "funky" influences in the drum programming and I'd really like to see some breakdancers moving on this.
Fat and clever abstract stuff from Magda, quite far from DJ Minx's original edit which is very good too, dark and gloomy but yet more ambient and repetitive. Check it out too, because it is really a "walk in the park", late at night, under sad street-lights and scary trees...
The DJ Minx's "On the slide remix" tries to be more danceable, but has no real interest and bores quickly, while Matthew Dear gives us a quite disappointing version of the track, with good ideas in it but boring in the length.
Nevertheless, the two good tracks here are REALLY good, enough to justify the purchase of this EP. You won't regret it, I swear!
