Despite a rather terrible artwork and title, this is a fantastic, fantastic compilation. Expertly mixed, and with a spot-on collection of real underground gems, this one is amongst the finest old skool compilations ever. The choice of cuts is astounding; with cuts from yesteryear we usually don’t see anywhere else. Best of all, though, is the mixing. Most old skool compilations and download mixes around tend to fit in as many tracks as possible, resulting in a mismatch of sounds and clashes of melodies, with the best part of some tracks faded-out after 2 minutes, in complete ignorance of what it takes to enhance a tune in a mix. Here we have the exact opposite: 15 tracks per record only, which means we get to hear the best part of each track, and the mixing is still incredibly tight, with loads of Bukem-style mad crossfadings, which, just like the great LTJ, take place during rhythm-only part of the tracks, thus never destroying the melody part of a track.
The makers of this one know their subject, and love the tunes; it shows here in the most impeccable way. I am glad to own this compilation, and my only regret is that although I’ve been checking regularly since it came out, it seems we will never be graced with a “Vol.2”. Shame, really!

What a Compilation. As soon as it starts to when it finishes Its jumping and pumping. This is the oldskool Rave you have to get.
I had my base turned up on my amplifier full when playing of my CD player. This is not the kind of rave you used to get in the early 90s that didn't make the pop charts. Underground beats that deserve a listen , i listed to this while playing Zelda.
Some of the tracks are wonderful.
Bay b kane and peshay- quarter 2 doom, my favourite track on here.
rhythm rhythm rhythm.
If you like your rave oldskool that was played on pirate stations in the 90s and not in the charts this is for you.

This is a good solid mix from rumour records, incorperating some fine tunes. This mix stays away from cheeseey rave songs which keep getting re-released from major labels who have no knowledge of hardcore rave. The first mix contains justice and mercy,s fake lobsters,a big tune from back in the day.Theres so many quality tracks, the mixing is pretty good to these boys have been around from day one.Hence the good selection of tracks. It would be nice to see these tunes in there full length version on a compilation. Also theres one tune in here which is not on any other comp.Globe and the hardcore massive "GONE".This is worth getting if your into yourn oldskool.I have not seen any other mixes which match this for a while
