This is such a GREAT album, together with the Rites Of Spring LP and the Embrace LP this defines what was great about the DC scene in the mid-80ies: Hardcore growing up without losing its energy, deep thoughtful lyrics that go beyond simple paroles.
Everything fits perfectly, great melodic walls of guitars (By far the best recording Brian Baker ever did, a basic influence on today's "emo" and neo-punk bands like Blink 182), the typical Don Zientara drum sound and a singer that could not be more emotional.
A record that is almost melting by its own warmth.
