Finally got my hands on this and it's outstanding. "In The Street" of course, is here but there's also a great disco meets detroit track at A1.
But it's the side long B-side that will really make you smile.
It's a fantastic deep, percussive, cosmic shuffling disco journey. Almost medley-ish in its heavy and liberal use of vocals from two disco classics. Without getting anyone in trouble I'll just say that one is from the west coast and the other is from New York. One extremely well known, one less known but still a classic in many circles. Vocals from two tracks that would have been very hard if not impossible to get clearence for. And maybe if he couldn't get those artists credited, he didn't want to release it as he seems to be a very "honor the source" kind of guy. So I'm guessing the B-side is why this EP was never released. Or maybe after the hassle he just felt like moving on to something else.
If you're a disco fan and/or Danny Wang fan you just have to hear it.
