This is one of Datach'i's best albums to date. Opening with "Deconstructing Man" one of the weirdest breakbeat tracks out there which slowly becomes one of the weirdest takes on childhood out there, followed by "Leonard Park", a beautiful little track put alongside what sounds like a computer trying to beatbox. "Midnight Cowpoke" takes the step to straight-up mind-blending with a the audio from a porn film distorted and set to a 4/4 drumbeat, and the two-part "VCR Powered Carcass" further this point with a heavily distorted mash-up of Datach'i knows what. Then you've got "Turtle Head," a neat take on Jazz, and "Jaf Box" as well, a psychotic track, and then, as a neat interlude, the drum track off "Leonard Park." "Xora+B" starts off pretty, but quickly goes nuts. Do you spot the samples from "Midnight Cowpoke"? "Take Off Your Face", on the other hand, I could picture playing at a wedding. It sounds like an outtake from the soundtrack to the video game "NiGHTS: Journey Of Dreams." "Piecing It Back Together", however, is quite a chaotic piece. Rounding off the album the way it began, there's "Fried Notes," a beautiful synth track put along side with a drum track that sounds like frying bacon grease and yet another drum track that sounds like a bouncing ball, and "Dizzy Fizz" which seems to be Datach'i's answer to V/vm, Janskynoise, and all of the other music wreckers out there. But don't hit stop just yet, there's another surprise after that...

datach'i is a very aquired taste. if you like aphex twin or square pusher, you may want to look into this new yorker for some even crazier snare rushes and experimental drill'n'bass/idm.
