Reviews & Discussion

Rated 3/5
Review by LHC Aug 03, 2004 (edited over 5 years ago)
This is my very first encounter with Davo. I saw no harm in giving GU022 a go since Im a Melbourne resident :P

CD1: The first three tracks set a dreamy scene among whistling sounds and crakling lighning when from no where flamenco guitars and voices appear in tandem to a classic progressive beat. The final track "looky thing" shows the funny side of Davo himself I guess...

CD2: Now this is what I come to expect from one the worlds best progressive house DJ's. Seamless mixing coupled with a track selection that would've taken a lot of studio of time to compile.
The last 4 tracks are all a definite highlight. Breaks coupled with crispy sounding violins and awe inspiring husky vocals.
All in all these are two worthwhile mixes that truly represent the art of dance music.
Interesting to note as well that 5 tracks out of the 25 are made and produced in Australia by Australian talent based in Melbourne.
4/5 for me.
