_My Mate Paul_ returns for another round of remixes. The Stereo MCs do a simple revision that pushes the beat into even more dance-friendly territory. David Holmes teams up with erstwhile pal Tim Goldsworthy for a mix that re-emphasizes the funk break rhythm. The Patrick Pulsinger and Erdem Tunakan mix from earlier makes another appearance here. While I would have hoped for all exclusive mixes, I suppose it's not too terrible to have this one recurring track.

David Holmes' _My Mate Paul_, a slice of danceable funk with a nice piano stab, gets remixed here by Matt Ducasse and Toshi Nakanishi of Skylab and the duo of Patrick Pulsinger and Tunakan. Skylab's "Heck Mix" is psychedelic downtempo, full of quivering synths and spaced-out sounds. Pulsinger and Tunakan, however, go for a spare electro feel on their "My Mainman Paul Mix" that brings the funk into a techno context. Odd, but appealing.
