Perhaps the best recording on the Fax label. Released in February 1995, this is David Moufang's only solo album on Fax. Like allmusic.com says, it's a fairly minimal affair; Moufang uses just a couple Roland drum machines and a few synths. But it's a shining testament to doing more with less. Be forewarned: this is not the cookie-cutter boring ambient that Pete Namlook churns out on a daily basis for Fax. While "Solitaire" it is quite ambient, there is plenty of percussion. Many tracks are drenched in reverb, giving the album an expansive, open sound. It works quite well listening directly, or even as a sleep-aid. It's great night-driving music too. E-mail me for info on how to purchase this disc. There's a vendor in New Mexico who should have several sealed copies available for about $14.
