I have been long bored with the Akufen-school of Montreal glitchtechno, it seemed to acquire a rigourous formula completely detracting from the sense of experimentation on which the "scene" was built, as documented on the early Clicks and Cuts triple packs. However, "Skematik Skank" by Dedbeat still fires its glitchin' wiggle right into my head. It is fresh and freaky, and I only wish it was a bit faster so I could drop it with other stuff I play. Ah well, there's always Ableton.
