Yes this track is good, BUT not as good as "Not Exactly" which has more depth and more groove. However, this would still be in the top 10 of 2007.

Deadmau5 has come from nowhere with a slew of remixes and productions to his name to now become the most sought after producer in house circles I'd think.

"Faxing Berlin" has a hypnotic melancholic feel about it. Great for taking the set in another direction. A tune that makes people think and it stops them in their tracks.

It shows now just how important the likes of Beatport have become though!

Faxing Berlin was in Beatport's top 10 probably all summer long, yes, it probably has been played to death by the time I am writing this review, but that should not factor in to your decision on whether or not to enjoy the track. This song is a total masterpiece, 100% through and through. Its like listening to trance but at progressive house speeds. The warmth of the keys gives you a dreamy fantasy world feel that I have not felt in any other track recently. This is in my top 5 for 2007 for its sheer quality. Its one of those tracks that hits you immediately on the first listen, and reminds you why you'll spend hours searching through 1000's lousy samples on Juno hoping to find that 1 gem.

I think Faxing Berlin is a fantastic track, and the "lack of thickness and richness" that the previous reviewer cites I believe is part of its charm, althought I think that is a bad way to describe it. Its easy flow and subtle progression between varying heights of emotion creates a warm melancholic almost nostalgic feel which works great on the dancefloor or just alone on your own. A truly great song at the end of the night or some other opportune time when it just feels right to appreciate the ones your with and around rather than jumping around.

Faxing Berlin is one of the most overrated tunes of 2007. It works great as a so-called "transition track", but nothing more. The quality of production is average, the sound lacks thickness and richness. Thanks to the Beatport's chart system, this tune was ravished by every trance dj (although this isn't trance at all), and thus was destined to commercial success and heavy playlisting. I have nothing against the track itself. It's the hype over it that is annoying.
