"George Is On" is full of everything you've come to know and love from Deep Dish Productions and more. There's a wicked version of "Dreams" with Stevie Nicks on vocals. There's also "Flashing For Money" which features a guitar sample from the eighties rock classic by Dire Striats "Money For Nothing". While Morel offers some cool, trippy vocals on "Sacramento". Spacey Key's, Hard-hitting bass and beautiful melody are what's at work here and there's a lot to choose from..

I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on this one, particularly from people who were expecting a little bit of previous Deep Dish mid/late-90s glory on this one. Well, this release, Dub & Sharam's first artist album in over 6 years and the first under a recently new contract with Thrive, is growing on me with each listen. It is a bit more rock-like than I expected. What hits me, though, is its attitude - which comes from the ambitiousness of the duo to try different tempos and styles yet retain an atmospheric feel, granted not at epic lengths (but that's for the remixes). They're willing to take chances that others wouldn't want them to and risking their rep at the same time - if this doesn't help keep modern dance music progressing, then we're all in big trouble. "Flashdance" and "Say Hello" are already well-known (the Angello/Ingrosso mix of the latter is a killer, if I say so). "Swallow Me", "Dub Shepherd", and "No Stopping For Nicotine" are my future single picks. I avoided the obvious one, because let's face it - their remake of "Dreams" (with Stevie Nicks actually singing up half-a-key higher than the original, mind you) is practically screaming for release and probably will have been by the time some of you read this. It seems that DD are now finally able to say what they feel now without major label pressure. Here's hoping we don't wait another six years. Keep on keepin' on.
