Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5

Not unlike other GU or Deep Dish releases, this set has the deep classic soulful house one would come to expect from two of the most influential Djs in history. Varying from deep, almost dark-acid house, to uplifting classic house, this set is GU for anyone. Sporting tracks from hot prospects and artists such as Chab, and Dino Lenny, this set definitely has the variety todays house listeners are expecting.
Definitely something to pick up if you have a pair of speakers and a working cd player--Its that good.

Everything they touch is gold...Luckily production is steady because just about everything they do is a must have, whether it be a DJ mixed set, a remix, their own stuff. They have the talent of making songs, that would normally not hold up very well on their own, incredible within an in-the-mix recording. I bow down to you both.

This is the first, and certainly not the last, mix from Deep Dish to be on Global Underground. Disc one starts with a nice song that has a real touching melody (although I could do without the vocal). Then, it changes into some nice grooves that are very percussive with a touch of meledoy for that extra added "feeling" that makes you want to dance. Then at the end, the vocals kick in from two really famous songs (Dido's Thank You - Iio's Rapture) and the cd ends. Disc two starts off with nice melodies as well (the vocal is good on this one). It then gets a little deep and dark but then around track 7 or 8, the music then starts to let up and make you want to dance again. Another beautiful vocal comes at the end of the disc and they ease you off the ride nicely until you come to a complete stop. I love this CD set and I'm sure you will too.
