Reviews & Discussion

Review by IAMTECHNO Apr 11, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
I really liked HIA + DSN previous stuff, but have to say i was really disapointed with this. It sounds to simple, too nice for it's own good,it's has that commercial amb/tec music sound...If u enjoyed HIA-"Colourform" + Freefloater" & DSN-"Big Rooms + Earth To Infinity" your gonna be annoyed with this release. It's not as complex or deep as previous releases. Just sounds too safe and commercial for me.

Brilliant, deep, lush sounds from two of my favourite FAX associated producers. Doesn't sound much like anything either of them have made on their previous outings but the trademark sounds have been blended together so harmoniously to form an end result which is so much greater than the sum of its parts. The liquid funk and abstract rhythms of HIA meets the space-out funk and smooth texture of DSN so perfectly i can only wish they head into the studio again sometime soon. The kind of sound that Kompakt and their ilk have been churning out for the last five years but have never even come close to matching this standard. Almost perfect.
