This is my first DeepChord purchase and it might just be sick enough to get me into a whole other realm of dark, mid-tempo techno producers and labels that I've not yet explored up to this point. This one comes in at 118bpm but in all honesty it feels a lot faster than that. The previously mentioned wooshes and hisses dont do much for me but what really does get me on this release is little clicky percussion loops. They make you want to nod your head and you just cannot help but strut a little, even if you're listening by yourself. To any dj's that are sampling this on the web prior to purchasing, there's an entire low frequency bassline that my computer's sub woofer did not pick up on. Only when I played it on a 10" did it come through. Its deep as f8ck. Enjoy...
This one-sided 12" comes down to some of the best DeepChord ever released, and an awsome way to round up year 2007. It's much more upbeat than normal DeepChord, Echospace or Rod Modell material i have listened to so far, and especially more upbeat than The Coldest Season or Vantage Isle releases. It still contains the standart "hiss" sound, that DeepChord is loved for, and have been their trademark for many years now. This one takes you on a journey. Or even to to the dancefloor.
