Wicked underground DnB EP this - A Side's Slasher is a Hoover & bassdrum-heavy dark stepper, sounding more like some of Noisia & Killswitch's more recent work than a 2001 production.
Side B1 Chopperbeat is aptly named, sounding similar to an updated Bizzy B style of mashed & chopped amens backed with some nice dark hoover stabs, beaking down into moody synths & bleeps before once again rinsing out into nutty almost Psycho-style stabs.
B2 Freaksta is typical 2001-style dark synth stab bass-filled DnB stepper featuring the nice MC talents of Mike Redman (now on Rotterdam Records aka Deformer).
