The Canadian producers duo Delerium (Rhys Fulber and Bill Leeb) has much of its fame due to the remixes of their songs were created by the Dutch trance dj Tiësto. In the remix versions were to ambientachtige numbers as Silence and Innocente trance beats were added, making it big playing relaxing sounds. The private material of Delerium on Chimera, like on the previous albums Karma (1997) and Poem (2000), less suitable for the dance floor. Most of the numbers is quiet vocal pop with a dance production and does the most reminiscent of, for example, Enigma, which is also a mixture of new age/ambient, dance and world music. Since only the gentlemen behind the Leeb and Fulber buttons are, is again the most important role for the Chimera on different (female) guest vocalists. To hear include Zoë Johnston, Joanne, Rachel Fuller and Leigh Nash (Sixpence None The Richer). Thanks to their input is more than an album Chimera with mere peaceful rippling background music.
