Reviews & Discussion

the track madness is well arranged, i could never find out where that 'grip of the city' sample was from.. the quality of voice made me think of 'petula clark - downtown'
Rated 4/5

In my opinion not as good as Dr. Octagon (purely for nostalgias sake) but one of the best Hip Hop albums that I’ve heard lyrics wise since Company Flow’s Funcrusher Plus. Even though Kid Koala’s scratch routine and oddball samplings are some of his best works it still doesn’t compare to Q-Bert’s work on Dr. Octagon. But don’t get me wrong this album is great. Del’s unmistakable voice and his even more unforgettable rhyme patterns make this album a sure buy for anyone wanting to get into the underground Hip Hop scene, though this is just scratching the surface. Another one of Deltron 3030’s great attributes is Dan the Automator’s choice in featured artist, second only to Handsome Boy Modeling School even though most of the artist appear on this album too. Who would have thought Sean Lennon and Del would have complement themselves so well? In conclusion this album has made classic status over the years with me and I think it will for many more years ahead.
