Depth Charge aka Jon Saul Kane has been producing since the late 80s, his output being a slow but steady stream of classics. Not one to preoccupy himself with anything like melody or quality control, Hi Voltage Man is one off his best tracks, a juddering club-speed mess of broken breaks, strange sci-fi samples and a creaking, undulating bassline.

As an introduction to the wonderful world of Depth Charge, one could do worse than seek out this 12....
