Original Hale Bopp is of course timeless and innovative classic and still very playable, but really you should concentrate on the Jackdaw Mix on side A.
Nick Warren and Starecase have used same ideas and hooks as the original track does, but as the original is kind of stylish and even a minimal track, this is a whole another story with a trance oriented approach.
The Jackdaw Mix is a true progressive trance earthquake and one of the most brilliant highlights of the millennium. It is very DJ friendly and does serious damage to the dancefloor every time. Its a huge track and as a remix probably finest ever made.
Electro funk riff that is a hallmark sound of der dritte raum.
First heard it on cream ibiza departures in 1999 jackdaw remix and is a great lead tune to raise the tempo of any set/
The looped dorian flat bass riff gives it an "against the beat" feel which makes the tune feel funky and dirty..
Der dritte has made updated remixes to this tune and even a 20's charlston remix for a fusion gig this year
but the jackdaw remix is one that everyone loves...
truly a dance classic

I can't decide which one's better - Trommelmaschine or Hale Bopp. They are both among my favourite 10 tracks of all time, and to have them both on the same side makes this my probably best "average-rating" record. The tracks are both very original, and quite different from each other,
The remix of Hale Bopp is interesting. The "melody" is kept, although no samples as far as I can hear, making it rather different from the original. This sounds like a more ordinary trance track, nonetheless a very good one! It also strays from Andreas Krügers own idea of tracks not needing an intro or outro.
This is one of the most original and unique tunes ever released, certainly one of Additive's best signings. As mentioned above there is nothing else like it. This would be in a handful of vinyl that will come with me to my grave...
Fantastic tune. Nothing else like it. Possibly the best track on Sasha's San Francisco mix for GU - and that's saying something. Very hard to describe. It's funky and acidic, its a bit electro, a bit trance... but different. I just love it. Truly unique.
