Dimitri Nakov is definetely one of the most talented and most respected dj’s we have in the psytrance scene. He made a big hit with his Dimitri’s DAT Bag compilation on TIP.World in 2001. He has been playing on every big psytrance festival around the world, and in 2002 he compiled the first chapter of The Usual Suspects on Solstice Music (Released only in Japan). Now he has compiled the second chapter of Usual Suspects. This one is also available for the rest of the world on Solstice Music International.

First out is a collaboration between Dimitri himself and Astrix (Avi Shmailov) from Israel. Astrix made big success with his debut album Eye To Eye on Hommega Productions 2002. Here we get a drifting full on track with a massive bass line, some floating vibes, voice samples and jumpy sounds. Track 2 is made the dreamteam called GBU, which is a collaboration between Dimitri, The Antidote (Serge Souque) and Deedrah (Dado). This track has been around for a while, but here we get a remix done by Spectrum (Tamir Ozana and dj Dede). This version is a bit more rolling and massive than the original. Full on to the bone. Track 3 is by another dreamteam, which is a new interesting collaboration between Joti Sidhu (Psychaos), Wrecked Machines (Gabriel Serrasqueiro) and GMS (Riktam & Bansi). This track starts with a drug sample, before we jump right over to the typical full on GMS sound. Heavy rolling bass line and a lot of massive sounds. In my opinion, better than most of the GMS tracks we have got lately. Track 4 is a new track by The Antidote (Serge Souque). He has released two albums on Solstice Music, and is definetely one of the most talented trance artists out there. In this track we get as usual a lot of really cool psychedelic sounds, and a very pumping rhythm drift. Drifting with some sort of housy influences as always from this guy.

Track 5 is a collaboration between Deedrah and Talamasca (Cedric Dasulle). Talamasca is well known for his melodic full on and Deedrah is known for his great creativity of sounds and technique, and this combination sounds good. Nice floating vibe, strong bass line a good variation. Track 5 is a collaboration between Silicon Sound (Johannes Regnier) and GMS. As you have probably noticed, those GMS guys work together with most of the full on artists out there. Silicon Sound released a strong melodic album on Moon Spirits last year. The track we get here has a lot of those nagging GMS sounds, but also more floating vibes and melodies that reminds me of Silicon Sound. Track 7 is a new track by Oforia (Ofer Dikovsky) from Israel. He gives us a drifting track. Pretty intense full on and it reminds me a bit of some of the tracks by The Antidote. Track 8 is the Magnetic Fields track originally released on the Musica Divinorum album on Spiral Trax Records in 2001. Here we get a remix done by Juvenile (Shanti), which is the younger brother of one of the GMS guys. I for sure prefer the original. This has the nagging GMS vibe all over it, but it is pretty drifting. The last track we get on this compilation is a track by the two brothers, Sub6 (Golan Aharoni and Ohad Aharoni) from Israel. This is a stumpy track, with really heavy beats and some voice samples, but not much melodies. Some of the sounds are pretty funny, and reminds me of some computer games or something.

Dimitri has done another good job by collecting interesting tracks to this compilation. Several exciting collaborations and artists, so watch out for this dj at the festivals around the world.
