That is quite an early release. The "familiar" bass on this track was played live by James Preston and the vocal "sample" is not a sample at all, just a crude recording in someone's very small studio.
There is much to know about this Dirty Harry. He's not released much in the past couple of years but this guy is getting set to blow some stuff up on Henry Street called the Next Dimension Ep as well as on his own imprint, Groove Cartel Music - see groovecartel.com. As the former member states, this guy's drum programming abilities conjure up thoughts of the legendary Kenny Dope and with a substantial amount of experience in the business and in the studio, is poised to make his mark.

Grew up in same Brooklyn neighborhood as Mike Delgado and Kenny Dope as a skilled DJ in his own right. Though usually reserved and conservative in nature, Harry took part in alternating weekend neighborhood gigs while Mike and Ken were in attendance. Ever-knowing that his own time would soon be coming, he's quietly persevered in the industry for 10 years now. In the meantime pursued a degree in economics and never really got consistent with his releases. He's now formed a NY based label with NYC outfit Dance Tracks doing distribution and has set up an arsenal of producers to go along with his own releases. Stay tuned for the upcoming bullets from the groove cartel camp.

Dirty Harry....what can I say, dont no much about this cat, the main tracks on this is Let The Music Play, A disco influenced cut with a deep feel, the bassline is real familiar and so is the vocal sample..deep house...nothing extraordinary but still effective, flip her over and some really dark shit arises, the drum patterns are a la Kenny Dope..I wont say its super useful, and its likely hard to dump it in a set, but it has a break beat appeal and i really think break beat Dj's and perhaps acid jazz and broken beat lovers could suck it up...PABLOSLIMS
