Dobie, hip-hopper extraordinaire, drops his oddly-named Luv 'N' Hate Special Mix For 96, a soulful, funky EP, on Howie B’s Pussyfoot label. “Stuck On You” is the centerpiece here, with slowburning vocals –- it gets increased exposure by appearing on the title track of the EP. “Ooh La La (Here the Sounds)” features solid beats, which seem to burst with a pop. “Original Heads” is an old school throwdown, with a laidback vocal delivery. Puts most current hip-hop to shame.
