I disagree with review above.
Doe Maar's sound really wasn't that of a jamaican reggae-band, and that really was what made the band that special; they sounded like NOBODY else.
They way they combined reggae-influences with dutch pop and new wave really was one-of-a-kind.
The slack they got (Doe maar wasn't only the most loved, but definitely also the most hated upon) was mainly due to their biggest strength; the catchiness of their songs.
The other huge motive for haters at the time was the huge boyfriend-appeal the two lead-singers had on many, many girls.

Great album from Holland's most populair band in the 80's,Doe Maar.
I bought this one when i was a kid from 12 years old, & i liked it a lot, as i can remember.
As for the present time,i still like it,it's reagge/ska music ,the dutch way, with dutch spoken words !
The music is lovely, up tempo tracks , and also some song about how to grow some weed, nederweed, track A3.
For me the best track on this record is the instrumental track,Bella Donna, witch sounds like it was made by some rastafari's on jamaica!, but wasn't.
