Reviews & Discussion

Review by Lefuneste May 17, 2008
For several years we have been quite lucky. Not to win lottery every week, which is nonetheless a pleasant thing occurring to some of us, but to witness in pure admiration the ongoing talent and creativity of the young Jedi named Dominik Eulberg. To say that the Bonn based German producer is talented is evidence. Record after record, he finds new ways to entertain us, sometimes getting us close to pure climax… This time he has achieved so, with this album released in April 2007. Not only he manages once more to make us dance with lush and cheerful tracks, but he also tells us the incredible stories of the birds he so dearly loves. This record reminds me of audio tales from the 70’s I used to listen to as a kid, such as Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf”. Maybe it should have been named “Dominik and the Birds”. Dominik produced this album in order to make his two passions in life (birds and music) collide and interact with each other, at the same time mutually strengthening their hypnotic powers. I have to admit that I did not know so much about birds before I listened to this record. Most of the tracks are simply amazing in terms of melody and rhythmic progression. Frankly, no serious dancefloor could resist their strength… Maybe I should also get my inspiration from animals. I am quite certain that, as electronic music producers, we have a lot to learn from the sounds of Mother Nature. Thank you again Dominik for this generous and exceptional release!
