Our favourite super mixer went to Italy for this one as, apparently, it is the “place where the West London broken beat posse releases their 4/4”. So why isn’t any of these four tracks are in all the usual suspects playlists at the moment? Eeerrm, perhaps it’s just too Disco-break-synth. ‘Red Sky’ comes with some congas, piano-dubness and non-sense House vocals and is probably the most Bugz-commercial of the four. ‘Ain’t No Girl’ is similar with added samba whistle and gets down in a Detroit/Chicago house style. The two other tracks are more electro cut’n’paste breakness.
