In my humble opinion this is one of the most important dance records ever made, fits with nearly any set and sounds utterly timeless. There have been many bootleg remixes but lets face it, nothing is going to beat the original. For playing in a set the 8 min version is more practical, but for the full effect the 15 min version is required.
Also handy if your playing out and need the toilet.
Undoubtly Patrick Cowley added value on the in 1979 released track from Donna Summer. His 15 minutes mega mix is made for driving the dancefloor crazy.
Few have played a synth with the same virtuosity convincingly simulating a processed electric guitar solo before or since Patrick Cowley did it here.
"I Feel Love", "Sea Hunt" & "I Need Somebody to Love Tonight" (from Sylvesters '79 album "Stars") are 3 tracks that help form a lasting legacy to one of AIDS first victims who by his death in 1982 went deeper into sound than many living artists did in 2002.
Also handy if your playing out and need the toilet.
