Fade shows why he was the absolute master of happy hardcore with this mammoth remix of 'On A High'. The track is my favourite happy track and I could (and I have) listen to it over and over again without getting bored. The track does the original complete justice but takes on its own identity, Fade manages to take the original riff and makes several new melodies & riffs that all fit together in a fantastic way that I really can't explain with words. The whole structure of the track threw the rulebook out the window back in 1996 and was a prime example of why Fade (and Bananaman) were the absolute bollocks throughout the late 90's.
The track is just perfect from start to finish, with a big kick, great interesting percussion and amazing use of the original samples. In a time where UK hardcore has run out of ideas and the music has generally run its course, the rabble should sit down, have a cup of tea and listen to this. 10 out of 10 and if you ever read this Fade, I salute you.
