Are you conscious? Mixed by the dubmaster, lx paterson, this album slips you into an altered state and helps you to transcend the routine you most commonly refer to as your life. There are no big beats here, but you probably figured that out by the title. What's here is a masterful ambient compilation that takes you on a ubiquitous journey inside and outside of your subconscious.
-Quirk gets things rolling with All That is Garbled. A distorted, and carefully arranged concert of communications between apollo astronauts and ground control. This song is like electro-mental floss, slowly buzzing the surface of your gray matter while pushing away your plaque filled day.
-Banco De Gaia reminds us that we are beautiful people with 144k of ethereal loops and culminating fervor. Did I just say culminating fervor?
-Now we are Crossing the Channel with Spyra. Long song at 10:06, but you don't care because you're in a trance and you're not going anywhere other than across this seemingly wide channel.
-You finally land on the other side to a soul cleansing Makyo. Ushering us through the 2nd Gate of Dreams with melodies that Mak-e-yo mind meander blissfully away from reality.
-Akashic offers to solve all of our problems while serenading us with songbird warbling, electric high hats, and nourishing beats in Tell Me About You.
-We then ebb with the tide when Amber Waves peacefully drowns us in the Ocean Surf. A short dub to cleanse our sins before we pass into the next life.
-Instinct informs us that It's Warm on the Other Side with analog angels, wraithlike samples, and an indissoluble chorus. The grass is also greener on the other side.
-Anahata lures us straight through to the Doors of Avalon with the reassuring presence of a magnificent being. A sympathetic deity that coaxes your weary soul into a blissful state of relaxation.
-Cat von Trapp mediates the communication during our first Human Contact. Tribal chants create a primitive fusion between advanced civilization and ancestral man.
-DJ Sangeet is Quite Rite (With Osho Drums)
-Celestium transports us back home on a harmonic journey hastening us away from Avalon...you gotta get this album if you are into ambient music.
