Just finished listening to this album (again!) & to me ranks with one of my better purchases of late. Fans of Madlib, the late J-Dilla (RIP) will not be disappointed, but this is definitely Jneiro's baby & his first release under Lex Records & if this is anything to go by, then bring it on. Each track is so well produced, distinctly original & thought out, it evokes to me a sun soaked urban soundscape. This album has been in the making whilst Jneiro was travelling the world, enveloping all his Global experiences into each track lovingly. Instrumental hip-hop at it's finest. Also check 'Three Piece Puzzle' too on Kindred Spirit for more JJ wizardry. I have the Ltd Edition 2x CD version of this release, get that if you can, with some lyrical tracks from JJ's 'Shape Of Broad Minds' project.
Look for more from them soon too. Definitely a Journey of Beats & one to return to with much fervour believe me. Nice!
