"E' Un Sole" (It's a sun) combines different approaches that take nothing for granted. One side is made up of four chunks of electro-rhythms, hard hitting but twisted and not easily danceable. The traditional song structure is carefully avoided by giving the lyrics equal opportunities be they recited, half-sung, whispered, spoken... Threatment of voice, words, rhythm and ambience are all equally important: in this sense the Lp is truly experimental, a kind of "new-beat poetry".
The other side displays moodier moments, less savage attack and subter sensuality: the music varies from a tapping throb on top of "Centro D'Erezione" (Focus Of Erection), to soundtrack to a poem (in "Antenne"), veering towards the more melodic and existential "Il Senso Di Torpore" (A Sense Of Numbness), similar to older material. The last track introduces surging guitars in "Emoraggia Sensoriale" refecting a new batch of songs and the current enlarged line-up.
Despite all differences it's a surprise to find how everythings gets together.
"E' Un Sole" is electro-poetry which defies the usual, a very daring collective work.
