In the great tradition of mash-ups everywhere (first bootleg, then legit) comes Everything But the Girl merged with the Kings of Tomorrow. The resulting TRACEY IN MY ROOM sounds completely convincing as an alternate remix of “Wrong.” Not surprisingly, Ben Watt himself does the mix. As a single, though, I want to see a little more variation. But as a club tool, this works perfectly well.

There was a big buzz about this record - I think it started as on of those bootlegs of two different tracks. Frankly I don't see what the fuss was about. "Wrong" was a decent enough tune in the follow-up phase after EBTG's mega-hit "Missing", and I'm not familiar with the backing track as a standalone tune, but it doesn't seem to go particularly well with the vocal , almost seeming off-key. Overall I prefer the original mixes of "Wrong", although this sounds a bit more beefy and contemporary, not surprisingly.
