And with releases like this one, it can only be a good thing. E.R.P. doesn't release much material, but between his awesome releases as Convextion and his last two EP's using this alias, he is truly from the "quality not quantity" school of music making. Deep, futuristic techno crafted straight from the heart. I don't care much for A2 much though.
Mariel Ito adds a little more urgency to his side of the record, and this release showcases his carefully crafted electro sound. My particular favourite is "Future 2020" which borrows heavilly from the standard contemporary electro template made famous by artists such as Anthony Rother, but still sounds fresh enough to keep your attention. Afterall, if the template ain't broke, why fix it!
One other thing to mention: retailers are selling this record for about £10, which is very expensive for a single 12". However, there is 40 minutes of aural pleasure for your money, and the press is decent too. Highly recommended.
