E*Vax (Evan Mast) is perhaps The Greatest talent in the IDM field,His initial full length release is a substantially groundbreaking and unmatched masterpiece proving just how passionate, human and down to earth electronic music can be. 'Parking Lot Music' juxtapose's breathtakingly gorgeous melodies with the perfect recipe of shoe-gaze glitch and completely original rythyms layered seamlessly together in patterns that would make even (we're he alive today) M.C. Escher's jaw hit the floor in sublime suprise.Infact E*Vax most likely has the opportunity to be the greatest innovator of his era, even the wealthiest and most revered name in the electronic field, more so than Richard D. James or Autechre,Boards Of Canada or Mike Paradinas -yet we'll never know, because since the release of 'Parking Lot Music' he has given us nothing but paltry scraps (tasty as it gets, yes, not a bad song yet,but simply not enough!),a split single here,a remix there, and a half hearted promise on his website stating that as of November 11th ,2001 'E Vax is in the studio creating the most melodic electronic album ever'.A Bold claim, certainly, yet considering were talking about E Vax,-I Believe it,or I did at first. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but that was near two and a half years ago,(you know the sort of time frame that Venetian Snares can release six or seven brilliant albums within)-and well frankly this new project of his (I think its a heavy metal tribute band to Stephen Pearcy and the boys who sang such classics as 'Round & Round' and 'You're In Love')-anyway this outfit is called 'Ratt-a-tat' and frankly is a lame duck at best - hardly worth postponing the follow up to the greatest debut album in IDM since Ulrich Scnauss's 'Far Away Trains Passing By',Autechre's 'Incunabula' or B.Fleischmann's 'Pop Loop's For Breakfast'-(Yes-Parking Lot Music is That Good!-for those still unfamiliar with it).Suffice to say that this is one of the greatest records of all time of ANY genre. Now if we could just hear a follow up!....?-Say sometime before 2009..?-Your Fans are waiting Mr.Vax!:)

I forgot to tell you that E*Vax is a lot like CrashKid (ckid); less guitar though.
