Science Of The Gods (1997) is the third studio album by Eat Static. First two discs were Implant and Abduction, which had more organic, alien sounds. Science Of The Gods has sharper, darker techy sounds like from an alien spacecraft.
First track starts with 4 minutes of breakbeats with flute and lots of metallic clangy sounds; then it is transformed into a simple but hard banging tech-trance, still with its spacey atmosphere. Interceptor(2) - dark drum & bass track, IMO better than tracks from common dnb artists. Kryll (3) is something that oscillates between dub and slow-breaks, very nice, chillin' & peaceful. Spawn (4) - dancefloor devastation :) no comment. Hear it. Dissection (5) jungle experiment, Pseudopod (6) is just an 1 minute bridge to another track (also jungle) called Bodystealers (7). This one has sharper frequencies than Dissection. Contact..(8) is the weakest track in this album... trancers will still love it. Hangar (9) - that's 14 minutes of experiments with sounds in slow breakbeat rhythm. Awesome end of this great album, which will take you through the galaxy of sounds.
