This is one of the first acid house songs I heard as a teenager in the late 90's, and it scared the shit out of me. It's sort of terrifying if you listen to it loud enough as it drowns out any other nearby sounds and cuts through your brain like psychedelic colored scalpel. It's now almost 2 1/2 decades old and stills sort of gives me chills and makes me uneasy every time I listen to it on full blast. I know I'm not saying anything new here but this track has been such an impression on me, one of the few songs from my teen years I still listen to that I felt I NEEDED to testify to it's greatness. Back in the 90's, in high school, when I still actually did drugs I was afraid to put this on while high and f***ed up, like it might send me over an edge I might never come back from.

Well then. It's been twenty years since I dropped some good blotter and heard this incredible tune. When this came ripping through the sound system at the ol'Majestic theater in Detroit(an echo box basically)I knew that my life was changed forever.
Blake Baxter was our humble disc-jock back then and he had a very nice way of blending different genres of sound but it was this track that just flipped our lids back then and I have to say it sounds just as far-out today as it did back then. This one Really put the Acid in acid techno...Here's to twenty more years...Cheers!

The amateur mixing/mastering in this track were actuelly made this is track what it is:
There's a very wrong way compression on the master channel (or maybe is was added at the finilizing stage) - Since the bass drum volume is much louder then the other channels, it makes the volume of the entire mix to go up and down, like a pump. This makes sounds come and go - get near you, and return to the "mountains", and then back again, in a mettar of milli-seconds.
The result is a record which sounds very un-nuatural, and will make sense only for those who are drunk or on something...
Motown Records definitly would NOT sign this artist on their label... Acieeeeeeeeeeeeeeed :-)

Jesus loves the world, so he blessed us with this acid creation. Sick, dark acid with a simple funky, squelchy, high end 303 squeek and squelch. Add on the nice vox samples: crowd chants (well sounds like it); some one saying acid; and of course the infamous call of aciiiiiid, and you have something that still sounds fresh after 20 years. How do they do it? Btw, John Paul II's speech at the start sums up the acid house ethos perfectly. Peace.

Still the perfect 3am track. Brilliant and timeless acid classic that can do no wrong. It is the broken beat pattern coupled with the twisting acid line that turns this track inside out. Sick production. Sick vocal sample. Sick track. It is hard to believe sometimes that this track is from '88 but then again :)...Aciiieeed!!!
