Reviews & Discussion

Review by Crijevo Sep 24, 2007
Although every ENB album brings along some loose sense of perfection, 'Perpetuum Mobile' makes it also an example of beating around the bush - don't know about other ENB fans, personally I always preffered Blixa when not trying hard to sound like Nick Cave. For such reasons, this album is sadly 'one in a row' - conceptually, it gives the illusion of ENB maturing enough to provide suitable 'song' material alongside their standard theatrics but in the end it is full of loopholes. Irritating whisperring and dull spoken-word-type vocals go for the word 'boring' - which is truly ungreatful to say about the group's work, but that's one word that comes to my mind at the moment, and as hard as I try, cannot shake it off.

Further listening recommended in case you feel like missing the point.
