Listening to Elastica has never been easy.
Before we mention The Stanglers, Wire or Beloved, raise a glass to the melodies and brit pop elegance of a class band.
Upbeat in its delivery with intelligent lyrics, add to that a hint of the short lived punk era or late 70s and we have a unique upbeat album.
UK in the 1990s was a happy chirpy time and all UK bands relfected the atmosphere in the country.
Guitar had its place in UK rock/indie music, and Elastic used this to there advantage.
Every track here stand up on its own merits.
If your between 30 and 40, go relive your 90s experience with this album.
How did we have it so good? Never before since the 60s generation did a real true spirit emerge from UK youth culture and the music surrounding it.
Ooh, did I mention those other bands?
No I didnt. Everyone copies everyone else. Its how ideas grow.
