Well, I don't really think that it is really a bad album. Actually, it wouldn't have been a disappointment - if the artist hadn't been Entheogenic. Those guys, who made two wonderful and exciting discs (Entheogenic, Spontaneous Illumination) and a perfect remix edition (Dialogue of the Speakers). If you ask me, I expected much more from Entheogenic, because till this release the hadn't done any wrong track.
Tha fact is, that Golden Cap doesn't contain wrong tracks, either. No, the problem is the quality, which - on this album - does not exist. It's okay, I say, I can listen to it several times. But I'd prefer the previous ones.
Colorful, however, it's true. In my opinion, Sideways is the top of Golden Cap: a breaky psychedelic ambient track, what you haven't really heard before from Entheogenic.
Golden Cap is the another best part, and Ju closes the disc with a very nice and mellow track.
I wouldn't rate it for 3, if the artist wasn't Entheogenic.

Dang. You know, after Entheogenic - Dialouge of the Speakers, Entheogenic's standard of production and releases really started to dissapoint me. And I thought that would be the all time low of Entheogenic concerning releasing old tracks on new albums and such. Well here they go again. This time, they're not blatently adding old tracks, and remixing the new tracks they do add - on the same album. No, this time they do us one better. They take old tracks, spend about an hour adding some new sounds and slowing down / increasing the tempo, and then changing the name. For instance, Twilight Eyes now becomes Midnight Eyes. Now, none of the tracks are bad per sé, but come on! We've heard the track before. The changes are *minimal*. The other tracks are more or less uninteresting, with a relatively repetative pattern with the echo- o-meter cranked up to the max. Vocals have been taken from other artists which we've already heard before, and the whole thing boils down to another great dissapointment. The *only* thing that is good about the album is the track "Kashmir Day Trip". Which is fantastic.
Avoid.
