Beyond the clever samples and the nice use of them, this record is a beautiful example of how to put people in motion the electro way : the use of a breakbeat (sample?) that constantly stop and go makes anyone feeling the urge to start moving like a robots. Pure electro-house.

Spice (Original Mix With Notes) This track was one of the first to influence me to get into the techno music scene, I specially like the sample "the spice must flow" and your triggering effects, the track is very abstract and dark, super classic track.

With a liberal dose of dialogue from the David Lynch movie "Dune" this track kick started my interest in house music. It blew me away, and although may have dated a little listening to it today, I can still remember the moment when this came on the radio and I just stopped what I was doing, thinking "you can make music like this? what the f..."

I rapidly found out alot more...
It's been a long and enjoyable trip from that day in 1990 but thanks J.Saul Kane and Ian B for getting my seat on the train :-)
